Cumbrae Community Development Company (CCDC) have the opportunity to take ownership of
the West Lodge from Cunninghame Housing Association (CHA), and we are currently working with
Scottish Land Fund (SLF) to this end.
Our aim is to secure the future of the West Lodge for both our community and the businesses
currently operating from within. This will ensure that there are opportunities for businesses to thrive, to help grow our economy on the island and reduce the number of people having to leave the island, on a daily business for
work.
Though this process will take some time to work through. Our current application to SLF, if successful, would allow us (CCDC) to take ownership of the West Lodge in approximately 12 months’ time.
