About our Motorhome Site

Our dog-friendly site, which first opened in 2021 and remains open all year round, offers EHU bollards, an Elsan Point for black and grey waste disposal, a fresh water point, and facilities for recycling.

Please note that there are no toilet/shower facilities present on our site. There are toilets located within Garrison House, which can be used during building opening hours, as well as various public toilets nearby.

From 1^st April 2026, an off-peak and peak-season pricing structure will be implemented. Please see below for details:

– Off-peak pitch prices: Monday – Thursday £20 p/night & Friday – Sunday £25 p/night

– Peak-season pitch prices (June-September inc.): Monday – Thursday £25 p/night & Friday – Sunday £30 p/night.

All amenities listed are included within the price. All bays are numbered and are allocated based on vehicle size. Site arrival time is from 1pm, with a noon departure time on the day you are leaving.

Located within the heart of Millport, our site provides the ideal location from which to base your visit to our amazing island.

From here you can enjoy walking, cycling, bird watching, golf and fishing along with taking the time to visit our Museum of the Cumbraes, Cathedral of the Isles and The Robertson Museum and Aquarium at the Field Studies Council.

During your stay with us, enjoy the many café’s (including one on your doorstep within Garrison House & Courtyard) and bars along with gift, craft & clothes shops, bike hire, gin distillery and much more.

More Information

The Isle of Cumbrae – referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Clyde’ – is only an hour drive from Glasgow and an 8.5 minute ferry crossing from Largs, to bring you onto our beautiful island to enjoy all that it offers. Our motorhome site is located within the Garrison House grounds, in the island’s town, Millport.

Garrison House was built in 1745 by Captain Crawford of the Revenue Cutter ‘Royal George’ for his officers and crew. In 1908, arts and crafts architect Robert Weir Schultz remodelled the house and gardens, including the Schultz Sunken Garden which attracts many visitors, enjoying our stunning rose garden, offering colour and fragrance along with our delightful lily ponds.

The entrance into the grounds which you need to use is off Clifton Street which is first right after you pass Garrison House, if heading west.

The entrance is approximately 50 metres up Clifton Street, on your right. Once in the grounds, turn left, as instructed by the signage displayed and then right to the motorhome site. All bays are numbered and you will be provided with your bay number at the time of booking. We strongly recommend, to ensure you are not disappointed, booking prior to your arrival.
